WELCOME SUMMER!!!
With that I must say, if all goes as planned...this shall be a very studious summer. BUT that means I must actually get my arse into gear and start studying!
There are so many things that I must get myself prepared for...
1) Being a Senior student in the ATEP...aka Being a Level III!
Well graduation has come and gone, and I'm now officially a senior student. Granted, yes, I have technically been a senior student for a while, I've reached the zenith of the Athletic Training Educational Program. Well, maybe not exactly the zenith, I guess that would actually come at graduation. So what does being a Level III mean? Simple, work with a sport(s), actually doing rehabs, treatments, etc....as well as teaching the incoming Level II's. What this means is that I'm definitely going over my muscles (origins, insertions, actions, innervations), going over my Injury Evaluation book, going over my Therapeutic Modalities book, and well basically going over any type of resource that I have to further enhance my knowledge. This way, I'll be better prepared to work with my sports as well as help with any questions or learnings that the Level IIs have...my hopes is that I can become a great resource for them. Lets hope this plan will come into fruition!
2) GRE
Hello SATs on crack! I'm scheduled to take the GRE (Graduate Records Examination) in August. Hopefully I'll get a good score, good enough to get me into a good if not great graduate school in hopes that I can get a GA-ship as an athletic trainer there. I figured, take it over summer when I have time to study for it. Hopefully pass it with a high enough score that I won't have to worry about taking it again. This will allow me time in Winter to start studying for the BOC. That way I don't have to study for the GRE and BOC at the same time!
I guess you can kind of see that I'm more of a planner of sorts!
3) NREMT
I took the EMT course and have the option to sit for this exam. Honestly, I'm not ready to take it at this moment. However, if I'm able to schedule it sometime in the near future a little further down future...then I'll take it. This will allow me some time to study for this test as well.
Aside from studying, i'm just hoping to make this summer a good one. I know this year I'm not traveling out of country, but I'm still going to try to make the most of it! I do intend on going to Disneyland after June 3rd since Star Tours 3D opens back up then haha. yes, I'm a dork...and yes I went earlier and star tours was closed and I was a little saddened. So I shall keep whoever reads this posted if they are interested. If anyone reads this at all! Until then! Happy Summer!

The Countdown Begins!
It's about a week and a half away folks! That's right...ESPANA!!!! Two weeks in Spain, then a week in Italy. I'm thoroughly excited! Hopefully it's a good trip! So hears to hoping!
I've gone on these trips many times before. My travels have taken me to Japan, Italy, Greece, London, France, and now Spain will be added to my list! I'm so fortunate and grateful to be given these opportunities. I just think traveling to new or I should say different countries is so awesome! It definitely opens your eyes up to a whole new world and truly seeing how different people are from around the world. So if given the opportunity, I hope you all take it!
I am venturing a guess that this trip I will be homesick! I haven't been away for about a three weeks from home. Of course my mom is accompanying me, however I will definitely miss my sister and my pup and my bed haha. So ten bucks says, yes I will experience a little homesickness while away, and I'm gonna venture a guess and say it comes during the Italy leg of the trip. I think two weeks is enough time to jam pack everything in and then head home afterwards. We'll see how this extra week will be!
Now aside from my huge summer trip, HS football camps are also starting up. The first camp starts on Friday! So I'm excited about that. This will mark the beginning of me being a Level 2 in the athletic training program. It should be interesting, and i'm definitely looking forward to it. I will be nice and DARK by the time we're done on Sunday haha. Oh well...the price you pay to become what you only dream of :) There will be another football camp but that won't start until mid/later August. So...I will July free. Which my friends and I have already begun to thinking about a little road trip. Destination...unknown. But it's in the works. So busy summer...or so it seems!
Just wanted to post a little update for whoever stumbles upon this here blog. If no one does, that's ok...just wanted to post a little journal entry then! Until next time!

Jajajjaja
So after wondering what the heck my google account sign in stuff was...I finally figured it out...thus I am able to post again...not like anyone reads this stuff right? So here's a quick update:
Summer so far:
-Read three books
-Put in wood floors
-Painting the walls of the house
-Redecorated my room (actually took stuff down)
-Went to San Francisco
-Watched my first WPS game (FC Gold Pride vs. Washington Freedom)
-Had Fight Night this past Saturday
-Currently awaiting the weekend to head to the beach
-Wanting to go to Six Flags with mi bfff!
Ok...all caught up...right? Sure. I'm now watching Jon and Kate plus 8...I still don't know why I like this show, but I do. I saw Julie & Julia with my mama this past weekend...LOVED IT! It was good...Meryl Streep did a great job as Julia Child...I laughed. I finally started to draw again...I guess I just needed some type of muse. I found one...this will be my second softball player (Jessica Mendoza was the first) that I draw. I think I should do a soccer player next...which I'm guess might be Natasha Kai. Maybe I'll draw a dude...I guess I think girls are easier to draw :/ Is that true? I have no idea. So I estimate this drawing to be finished sometime soon...I hope.
Lemme talk a little about fight night...it was great! The fights...were so so. But the main event was worth it. I love BJ Penn...he did his thing against KenFlo and needless to say I was happy. Kenny bugged me when he fought Roger Huerta cause his strategy of hit and RUN around in circles around the octagon was annoying. Although when you think about it...it was smart, but c'mon. So I enjoyed watching BJ submitting him. I felt incredibly embarrassed for Forrest Griffin. And the rest of the fights...geesh. And yes, that one fighter looked like a manly Perez Hilton haha!
So school starts up in a couple weeks...and I'm not looking forward to it. Mainly because I'm taking Physiology which is basically a grade/GPA suicide class. I passed anatomy, but Phys is supposed to be tons harder especially here at State. Oh well. I will try. Hence my classes are fairly...easy classes.
Ok, so this will be all for now. If I remember I'm gonna put up some pictures from the beach. We're taking my puppy Sox to the beach cause I know she loves it there. We're leaving Buffy at home though which I'm sure she won't be pleased, but I feel Sox needs a special day. So until next time folks!
